”You bring about what you think about“. In my senior year in high school, our teacher asked us to write a list of 20 goals. I forgot about it and when I was in my late 20’s, I found it in my keepsake box. I read it and realized that I accomplished almost all of them. The power of intention. I never stopped writing goals. When I completed a goal, I create a new one. Don’t get me wrong, I struggled too and there were moments I wanted to give-up. But, I am just amazed how the Holy Spirit have sent me good friends or good reads. And for some instances, I stumbled upon a sacred place. These serendipity moments light the fire in me to continue my journey.
My Life’s Lessons
I BELIEVE IN MY LIFE’S PURPOSE. The desire to discover who I truly am came to me naturally. It took me many years of searching and researching. I had mentors or spiritual directors who guided me in discernment. It was not just a one time aha moment. But once I was there, I knew in my heart that I was in the right place and at the right time.
I PURSUE MY DREAMS AND GOALS. I love challenges. I love puzzles. Pursuing a dream or goal feels like solving a puzzle. Once I see the whole picture, I am filled with joy and fulfillment. Sometimes I ask myself. Did I do that? Great job, Grace. I am only grateful to God.
I SURROUND MYSELF WITH INSPIRING QUOTES. I have on my wall: “Great things take time”. It is a reminder for me to keep on going. “When the going gets tough, the tough gets going”, as they say. I love surrounding our house with inspiring quotations. I have a dozen coffee cups, with various expressions, for this purpose. One cup says: “Fill each day with gratitude”. It is definitely a good reminder every time I sip my coffee.
Make today amazing!
